though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand
psalms 37:24.
"the glee tour was AMAZINNNNGGGGG! i got to see all of the cast members & finn was hothothot skfjsklfjdklf in person. they’re voices were out of the world! & they looked so happy performing up on the stage. however while i was watching them perform their hearts out, i wondered if they were really happy & satisfied with their lives. of course I can’t assume that all of them aren’t Christians but for those of them who are not.. they are using their talents and abilities to glorify & to make a name for themselves. I remember something that someone told me that stuck with me till now. our purpose in this life is to live for God. that is why God created us & that’s how we were created. that’s why when we’re not doing exactly what we were created to do we dont feel satisfied. we were meant for so much more than we think we are. it’s when we find this out & start living for God, we will feel the happiest and the most satisfied cause we will be exactly what we were meant for. It’s when everything becomes clear & you realize that you do have a purpose in your life & your purpose is to live for God. it kills me how getting the glory sometimes feels good, human acknowledgement & human acceptance is something our human nature craves but i know God deserves all the glory. & i thank God for what He provided & with what He provided i desire to glorify Him back with it. but its a lot easily said then done.. i dont know why i got these thoughts while i was watching the concert. God has given them such beautiful voices, i hope that they can realize why they have that gift & that they can use it to glorify God with it, instead of using it for their glory.
He’s got the whole world in His hand.
thanks for loving me, being mindful of me, wanting a personal relationship with me & forgiving me. even though i always fail you….
“Overcoming sin requires repentance and forgiveness of sins” - Living by Christ by 유기성 유기성’s passage is also very inspiring and I feel like this would be too much but I feel convicted to share..
Every Thursday, our church holds a men’s meeting called, ‘Living by Faith.’ After praise and worship and the sermon, the men get into groups of 5 to 7 people and share for about half a hour. At first, we got together so we could talk about our victorious weeks in our walks with Jesus. At the very first meeting, everyone was fired up and busy making resolutions. “I will stop drinking.” “I will quit smoking.” “I will not argue with my wife anymore.”
How do you think it went? If you guessed ‘not well’, you’re right. After a few weeks, the men started to dread Thursdays rolling around. They were supposed to share about their victories and breakthroughs in Christ, but all they could think of were the things they had done wrong. Eventually the meeting was converted into a ‘repentance meeting.’ We had realized that repentance must come before confession of faith. “I failed to pray this week.” “I lost my temper with my wife again.” “I lied at word before I could stop myself.” We confessed our sins, held hands, and prayed with all our hearts. “Father God, wash our sins away with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Give us strength to start over.” Amazingly, the church began to witness change in thee men. They built each other up in their faith and calling and soon, the entire church was changing.
Amazing.. let us be like these men! Not to just set idealistic goals but to repent of our very sins as a foundational necessity. YES!
